ACCOUNT MANAGER

Allied Pharma Ltd
is a small and growing company based in Somerset, England. We are a UK company
representing some of the world's leading manufacturers of processing and
packaging machinery the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, food and other
industries.

 

Allied Pharma
offers sales and marketing, customer and service engineering support to the
equipment manufacturers.

 

Main Purposes of the Job:

 

To source, manage
and convert sales opportunities for Allied Pharma Ltd in its sales territory of
UK and Ireland, in order to increase the market share for the equipment
manufacturers.

 

To develop and
execute sales and marketing campaigns and strategies to maximise business
opportunities for equipment manufacturers in the sales territory.

 

To act as the
primary point of contact for business development matters between the equipment
manufacturers and Allied Pharma Ltd.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • As part of a small existing sales
    team, plan, manage and carry out sales and marketing activities, primarily "in
    the field" for the capital equipment marketed by Allied Pharma Ltd on behalf of
    the equipment manufacturers.
  • Sell a range of machinery manufactured
    and imported from Italy, India and Germany, with the assistance of the
    equipment manufacturers.
  • Identify and develop new business
    opportunities for the equipment manufacturers in the sales territory.
  • Manage all aspects of the equipment manufacturers'
    business development activities in the Allied Pharma ltd sales territory.
  • Provide sound technical advice to
    potential customers to steer the development of future business opportunities.
  • Build working relationships with
    existing customers and potential customers.
  • To be highly conversant with the
    technical / mechanical requirements of our customers and be able to respond to
    product requests.
  • Develop strong relationships with the
    equipment manufacturers, who will assist with presenting products to potential
    customers in the UK
  • Undertake pro-active lead generation
    and take the products to market not only in the pharmaceutical industry but in
    other industries such as food, beverage, household, chemical and industrial
    sectors.

 

Experience / Skill Set Required:

 

  • A technical / mechanical background is a pre-requisite for this role
    due to the nature of the products sold. You must be able to understand the
    principles of how production machinery is constructed, and how it works in
    practice in order to effectively sell it.
  • Relevant (previous) experience in sales development of capital
    equipment is highly desirable.
  • Highly self-motivated person is required - this role will only suit
    someone who can generate leads, book meetings and organise for themselves a
    sales pipeline with the minimum of supervision and support - you need to be a
    real self-starter.
  • A hunger to get out and visit as many clients as possible - in order to
    take a fantastic product range to market.
  • Negotiation skills, and the ability to build rapport with our customer
    and potential customer base.
  • To be comfortable working on projects with a long lead time from
    enquiry to order (as with most capital equipment sales).
  • The successful candidate will need to be a skilled, confident
    communicator, highly motivated and ready for a challenge.

 

Salary   £25,000 to £35,000

 

Package includes a Company vehicle, Laptop,
Mobile Phone, Company credit card, Company fuel card and pension.
